Need some advice about my H-pipe.
OK, I went to get my MAC H-pipe with Hi-flow cats installed today. My mechanic noticed that my rear O2 sensor is about 12-16 inches too short and won't plug back in to the new pipe. Is this a common problem with aftermarket pipes? What can I do about it? Is there a kit I can order to fix it? Thanks guys and gals.

With the '03/04's you have to get extensions for the rear 02 sensors. I didn't know that either until I had my o/r x-pipe put on. I paid 30$ for my extensions. You can pick them up at about any place online. I'm sure some of our vendors have them.

David, Lightningforceperformance has them for $34.95+ $6.00 shipping! But I believe on the 99 and newer cars the checkengine light will come on even with the cats. I'm getting my back two o2 sensors cut off by the tuner, that way I can take the cats off and everyone can here me ![]() Good luck, can't wait to hear how it sounds for ya! ![]()

Thanks guys. I actually think I am going to go with some MIL eliminators. As long as my car is emissions legal, I don't really care if the rear O2 sensors are working or not (just as long as my "service engine soon" light isn't on all the time too).
Jason, the car sounds alot better. Definitely not as loud as an offroad h-pipe but loud enough to draw attention to myself without going deaf ![]() ![]() -D-

Jason.... two pieces of advice for you....
1. Get some drag radials 2. Tape up the rear quarters for the rubber from the drag radials ![]()

You could always use a california duster to take the slop of the rear fender quadrants. I have seen others use pinters tape or masking tape which will not damage the paint on the car. A good cleaning and wax should protect the paint. Painters masking tape should not leave any adhesives behind. I probably would not use tape.
As for emmisions testing, they use a diagnostic computer which resets the ECU to test all of the emissions control components. That makes me wonder if MIL eliminators will work or not. I was told by a local shop you can do whatever you want to the exhaust but only as long as it passes the test. I go involved with a full discussion with the technician who usually performs the testing and it seemed prommissing for the time being, that is until the state or fed makes changes to passing specifications for emissions.
