The Dragday event that is on Feb. 26th is a one day event and the Autocross is a weekend event! It'd be best if you could make both events, but for the drive and time spent you are more likely going to prefer the Autocross! You will have just as much fun at either event as all the club members always make everyone feel welcome!

Good luck in your decision!

Sorry I missed your questions !
Ok, the weekend event will be bigger since it's an all weekend event and you will more likely have more cars participate! Both events have other cars too not just Cobra's. Drag day is all kinds of drag cars, mustangs, corvettes, full-out drag cars, etc... The autocross will have mustangs, ford focus, corvettes, bmw m3, and etc....
Is that good?

Well according to map quest, it'll take you around 11 hours and 40 minutes!

http://www.svtcobraclub.com/forums/s...ead.php?t=8017

This is the forum for the event, the hotel info and pricing is on the first page! Most of the club members will be staying there! The times for the track events and everything are there also.

Yes, you need a helmet to participate and I'm not sure of the cost for the event! You might want to post in the forum and everyone their will be glad to assist with the exact info.

InfamoussSVT your referring to CMP as an AutoX is wrong. This is a Closed Road course an it is a High Performance Driving school. I imaging with a Corba you will reach speeds of 120 or greater on some of the straights. the course is 2.23 miles long with 14 turns in it. You are on the course with 15 to 25 other cars. Also you are driving all out for 20 mintues at a time.

CMP is nothing like an AX where your top speed is maybe 50, except for 411, you run by yourself and the it is for less than 90 seconds.

Tigerjill you will have the time of your life at CMP it is well worth the drive.
Yes you have to have a helmet, even drag racing, get a SA2000 rating or newer.

Jill, I wouldn't say the hotel is "upscale" it is CLEAN and that is what I find to be most important when I travel! The event is a real BLAST! And as Beerkat said it is NOT anything like an AutoX it is the most fun you can have with your clothes on! Tony, Myself, Poolman and Dave Stanfield drove through St. Louis a couple of years ago on our way back from an event in Iowa. We stayed in St. Louis and drove home the next day, depending on where you are in St. Louis I would say 10 hours should get you to the track. I hope this helps! AND I hope to meet you at the event!
