Flash Tuners / Programs
I've searched and found some posts on tuners and I guess my question is most likely a newbie one:
I read that the shop creating your tuning is more important that the tuner itself. Anyone know of a shop in the Denver, CO area that is reputable and if so, which tuner they are using? Do the tuners have to have your car on a dyno, or can you just say I have such and such exhaust, intake, pulley, etc. and they create a program for that setup? Sorry for the ignorance. I'm not from CO, but I can give you some insight on your second question.
Depending on what mods you are making to your Cobra you may or may-not need a tune! If you decide to get a smaller pulley (etc. 2.80) for the blower you will need to get tune. You can purchase a "box tune" which is a chip or hand held tuner, but if you really want a good tune, go have it dyno tuned. This will insure you have the right air/fuel ratio and that the car is running smoothly. Also you should get a stock dyno just to see where you are now before doing any mods! Just my .02! ![]() Good luck! -J
