I need some new tires, and I am thinking about getting a couple ET street radials. Has anyone ever used them? How do they do in the rain? Are they worth the money, or should i just get some BFG's?
Thanks, Rodney ![]()

I'm not sure if you're wanting to go with the ET Street Radial for an everyday driver?!
![]() If you are wanting a drag radial tire for everyday driving, I would recommend the Nitto's or BFG's! Although the ET Street Radial is DOT approved the thread will not last long enough to make it worth the money spent IMO! Just my .02! ![]()

Depends on how much you drive it...ET street radials would probably not be your best choice if you drive it a lot b/c their treadwear is very little...on the other hand, BFG drags are almost like ET streets b/c you get maybe 5000miles out of them, but they hook like a motha...Nitto's are very good DR's as well and you'll see better treadwear than the BFG's...im actually gonna buy some Nitto's for my stockers and keep the BFG's on the alternate rims...

I heard mixed opinions about the nittos. Some guys say thay don't hook very well. I drive the car frequently, so I may just get some ET streets and mount them on a couple of extra wheels I have. I really wanted to avoid changing the wheels every weekend, but if I can only get 5,000 miles out of BFGs or ETstreet radials it may be worth the trouble.
Thanks Rodney

Nittos are awesome, but ET streets are far better at the track -- but do not drive et streets on public roads.
Nitto 315/35r17 will fit our stock rims. get those for daily driving ... they do hook well. And then if you want, buy some ET Streets just for the drag strip -- on 16" GT rims.

The 315 Nittos are a good compromise tire. I got about 8500 miles out of a set last Summer. VERY streetable, but not nearly as good (traction-wise) as an ET Street. After my current Nittos wear out, I'm gonna try the MT ET Street Radials.
The Nittos may not be as good as an ET Street, but they're substantially better than a regular radial.

How wide are the stock rims? And putting 315/35 r17 Nittto DR would be ok? Nitto recomends 10.5-12" wide rim for that size.

Nitto 315s are quite a bit narrower than other 315s.
Many 03/04 cobras have run them w/ success on the stock rims including myself.

stockers are 9" wide all the way around...but for some reason the 315 Nitto's fit on there well...
