Cleaning the ragtop ?

So we finally had a nice break in the weather on a weekend, and I spent my obligatory 4 hours washing and using the Meguaire's 3-step wax....and I must say...for 10 year old paint she does clean up nice. The problem i'm having is with some paw prints on the top from one of my parent's cats. They've been up there for about 4 months....and no amount of scrubbing with conventional car-wash soap will get them off. Anyone know of a good top cleaner that will get rid of it?

I have never experienced this so I would take it to the Ford place and see what they would use or ask for a reputable repair shop and pay them a visit and get their advice. Wish I could be of more help...

Mother's makes one
Stayfast (cloth) is speacially treated to fight stains and mildew. It is strongly recommended, however, that you should and - wash you top regulary as follows:
1. Vaccum top before washing.
2. Stay out of direct sun when washing.
3. Wet entire car, using luke warm water, a sponge and mild soap (not detergent) to wash top evenly.
4. Let soap stay on top for few minutes.
5. Rinse thoroughly with hose.
6. Let car dry in direct sunslight, removing excess water from body with chamois.
7. Repeat these steps several times, if needed.
Please do not use water-repellent, wax, or other preservative finishes witch can stain top. Strong abrasive cleaners should be used only by experienced professionals. Automatic car washes are acceptable provided they are brushless.
Do not store top when wet/damp or dirty.

Jeff,

May I borrow some at autofair? I think I see a hint of mildew on my 94 Pace Car and would like to try it out.

damn I have been looking for a good cleaner for my top. I found some 303 stuff, but it is $16 a bottle, two step cleaner. That is $32.

What would be the best way to get the mildew/dirt out of the ribbing of the top? I guess I need to get a bottle of that stuff.
