Not a kill, but bringing a ricer to reality

So one of my Ju-Jitsu students calls me a few weeks ago talking about this kickin' new car he's got. A Honda S2000. He's tells me about the awesome 4 cylinder and the whopping 250 hp he's getting and how he's beating up on cars around home. So I say, "That's cool, bring it by. I wanna check it out."
So today he's comes rolling up my driveway (didn't even hear him, the dogs didn't even bark). So I hop in. We cruisin' along and he decides to kick it. An hour later we hit 100 mph. I politely compliment him on the ride. Now it's MY turn to take him for a ride in the snake......(you know where this is going)
As soon as I cranked it and the Borlas came alive, I looked over and he was already wide-eyed. By second gear with the supercharger windin' out, he was white-knuckling the door. In 3rd gear and passed 100 mph seconds later, I decided to give him a break. When we got back home, the only thing he said was, "S###, now I gotta get back in my car..... He called me tonight around 9:30. Seems at some point he dropped his cell phone in the floorboard and it had almost made it's way to the back seat under his side. I wonder if it was the torque???
Anyway, like I said, not necessarily a kill, but bringing another ricer to reality!

Sweet story. I did that to a guy years ago. He came over with a 78 or 79 Z-28 350 auto. We went for a ride nothing special, just a chevy. Then we went for a ride in my new 87 LX 5.0, 5spd. Man did he wake up when we jumped sideways in 2'nd! Yours is still better, ricer kid, and the HUGE diff form a no TQ 4cyl, to a over 400 horse Cobra! Got to love the Boost!

Similar thing happened to me but not nearly as good as your story. I went to pick up my kid from a friends house and I drove the Cobra. The father came out and started talking cars. He mentioned that his neighbor had just bought a 350Z and he got to drive it. His neighbor couldn't stop talking about the power and after driving the car he agreed the car was really powerful. Well, that was more than I could take. I handed the keys over and said we needed to go for a drive. When he was in second I told him to let it rip. He couldn't stop smiling. He simply said now I see the difference. Wish I could have given the neighbor a ride.

BTW: I still think the 350Z looks pretty sharp.

Great story , sort of put your money where your mouth is Show me da money. I had someone do that to me but in my own car. I was not overly impressed with the performance of the 04. Somehow I was convinced that the 01 had as much power, more than likely since I was used to it. That was until I let a friend drive it we me as a passenger. After the first 1000 miles is when it really woke up. Every now an then it still impresses me when I think I need more boost and then realize that I am not pushing go pedal hard enough.
